What next?

I was wondering how the basic necessities needed by man has changed over centuries. I can't guess what's next.
Here's a table that I have made and believe is almost accurate to a certain degree.

When I said my table is accurate I didn't mentions I would not exaggerate just to make a joke out of it.Maybe some of the facts aren't true but most of them are.You are welcome to fill in the gaps.
If ever an ancient man was to visit the 21st century he would be thinking "hey it wasn't like this when i left this place."
So what's next???

The basic necessities of a man are food, water, air and to an extent shelter for protecting him from the vagaries of nature. Another basic necessity is sex, without which he cannot extend his progeny.

All other things is just a luxury without which existence is possible. Cell phone, electricity, money all are the luxuries that are/were introduced for the creation of an order of a living in a luxurious way.

All through the years, the life cycle of a human is to be born, grow, reproduce and ultimately die.

eda i know they are all luxuries..but it has become so big a part of our life that we are not ready to replace it with something else..i know this because ,for example the communications industry of which i am a part of still thrives because people are reluctant to give up their mobile phones inspite of the situation the world is currently in - the recession...it's so become a part of our life..

yea man ure right.. the more we progress, the more we want.. the more we want, the more we take.. the more we take, the more we have.. and the more we have, the more we want again..

maybe this is wat 'progress' is :).. having more things that u cannot live without.. in other words, we're more bonded than we were wen we were cavemen..

nice observation..
